Large, fast growing, oval tree with rich green, deeply-lobed foliage which turns eye-catching red in fall. Tolerates drought and most soil types, but prefers a moist, a slightly acidic well-drained soil. Prune only in full-leaf as needed, to avoid excessive bleeding.

**Will not do well on the prairies unless it is kept from drying during droughts. Supplemental water required in spring/summer when there is long periods of no rain. Will perform great in our winters when it is kept healthy.
