Matteuccia struthiopteris pensylvanica

Stately shaped, native fern with erect, cinnamon-brown fronds in spring. Lance-shaped, divided fronds spread to fill large areas. Great understory plant. Requires a moist, well-drained soil. May go dormant in overly hot and dry conditions.
